Setting up your planter
Setup takes about two minutes. Plug the planter in, open the app, create an account, and follow the pairing steps: the app finds your planter over Bluetooth, then hands it your Wi-Fi details so it can work on its own.
- Keep your phone within a metre or so of the planter while pairing.
- The planter's base light pulses white when it is ready to pair.
- Hydraverse connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. If your router publishes 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under one name, the planter will still find the 2.4 GHz band, but a separate 2.4 GHz network name is the most reliable option.
Troubleshooting
The app can't find my planter
- Check the planter is plugged in and its base light is pulsing white.
- Make sure Bluetooth is on, and that you allowed Hydraverse to use Bluetooth when asked.
- Move your phone closer and stay on the pairing screen for a few seconds.
- Unplug the planter, wait ten seconds, plug it back in, and try again.
My planter shows as offline
- Confirm your home Wi-Fi is working and the planter is powered.
- If your Wi-Fi name or password changed, re-run setup so the planter learns the new details.
- A planter far from the router may drop off — moving it closer, or adding a mesh point, usually fixes it.
Watering didn't happen
- Check the reservoir level in the app — Hydraverse won't run the pump dry.
- Make sure the tubing isn't kinked and the pump inlet is submerged.
- In automatic mode, watering only runs when soil moisture drops below your target. Lower or raise the target from the planter's screen in the app.
I'm not getting notifications
- Check Settings → Notifications in the app, and that iOS notifications are allowed for Hydraverse.
- Alerts are sent for a low reservoir, completed and failed waterings, a planter going offline, and dry soil.
